TO THE PARENTS OR CARERS OF KIDS AMONGST US

Relax! God put the wiggle in your kids; don’t feel you have to suppress it here. All are welcome at our gathering!
We recognise that what happens on the platform may not always be aimed at engaging our littlest people so here are a few things you may find helpful as you join our Sunday gathering.

Quietly explain the parts of the gathering to your kids and encourage them to join in. Our gatherings usually include, songs, prayers, an offering for regular attenders, a sermon and some announcements about what is going on in the life of our church.

There are some activity packs that you may find helpful for your kids. The contents of these packs are intended not to distract or “keep quiet” but to help our younger ones engage with our gathering in a way more suited to them.

If it is helpful for you there is a crèche space (on your left as you walk in the first set of doors) with toys for little ones and an audio feed of the gathering. While your kids relax please be mindful of the others in the crèche that may be listening to what is going on.

After the gathering there is morning tea in the hall with more space and toys – please join us!

The presence of children is a gift to the church and they are a reminder that our congregation is growing.
Remember that the way we welcome children in church directly affects the way they respond to the church, to God and to one another.
Please welcome our kids and give a smile of encouragement to their parents or carers.
